ORIGIN: Lyttelton, New Zealand (Postmarked 21/03/1966).

DESTINATION: Fredericia, Denmark (Via Copenhagen and Odense).

FRANKING: Single 2/- Maroon/Multicolor ‘Maori Rock Painting’ stamp from the 1960-1966 Definitive Pictorial Series. The stamp pays the exact international airmail letter rate to Continental Europe. Perfectly tied by a clean, circular Lyttelton date stamp.

POSTAL HISTORY & INSTRUCTIONAL MARKS:

  • First Redirection: Copenhagen transit postmark dated 24/03/1966, applied upon arrival due to a change of address. Initial address manually crossed out with official postal corrections.
  • Second Redirection: Odense transit postmark dated 25/03/1966, applied following a second residential address change within Denmark.
  • Final Delivery: Contemporary pencil endorsement ‘x 6/4-66’ (6 April 1966) marked on the cover, confirming the exact final delivery date to the recipient in Fredericia after a 16-day transoceanic postal journey.
